Superthal® prefabricated heating modules

Superthal® heating modules are intended for use in production or laboratory furnaces/heaters wherever concentrated heat is needed. They provide major energy savings in several applications and offer the flexibility of different temperatures and processes to take place in the same furnace.

Prefabricated heating modules consisting of vacuum-formed ceramic fibre with an integral Kanthal® Super molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) heating element for up to 1750°C (3180°F) element temperature.

Superthal® SMU

Superthal® Muffle SMU is used both for horizontal and vertical furnace applications. The SMU are specially designed to meet the requirements of each application in terms of power and dimensions. Max. operating temperature 1500ºC (2730ºF).

Superthal® Half-cylinders, SHC is used both for horizontal and vertical furnace applications. The SHC are specially designed to meet the requirements of each application in terms of power and dimensions. Max. operating temperature 1550ºC (2820ºF).

These flat panels are heated by Kanthal® Super MoSi2 heating elements with the terminals either straight or 90° bent with fixed contacts. Element dimension and configuration depending on demands. The panels are designed for horizontal use.

For high furnace temperatures up to 1675°C (3045°F). Superthal® HT modules, for vertical operation, are available in standard sizes or as specially designed heating packages.

Superthal® Mini is a complete compact heater ready to connect to the power supply. This product is used in melting and processing for the dental and medical industry and general material research and development. It is easy to control and can be rapidly heated up and cooled with a uniform temperature profile.
