We own electric heating technology
Kanthal has been supplying advanced electrical heating technology worldwide since 1931, when metallurgist Hans von Kantzow founded the company with his discovery of the FeCrAl (iron, chromium and aluminium) alloy.
The original FeCrAl alloy was followed by other innovative developments in the field of high-strength materials. We were the first company to offer molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) heating elements , and we also have silicon carbide (SiC) heating elements in our portfolio .

Since great ideas often come from working together, we are involved in many projects with universities, research institutes and clients to find new solutions to problems that may not even exist yet. Innovation also refers to the improvement of existing processes. We have our own complete production chain from smelting to the finished product, which gives us unique control over the final product in terms of quality and uniformity. In over 90 years of operation, we have been able to hone our manufacturing processes.

Kanthal electrical heating technologies can play an important role in minimizing the carbon footprint of an industry.
